Meet Percy

     My name is Percy and I currently reside at Blackford County Animal Shelter.  I am 2-3 years old and around 60 lbs.  I have been at the shelter for 1.5 years and counting.  I am a pup that likes adventure.  I like to romp, play and jump around so I need a lot of space to let my inner self out.  I would love to take you on long hikes, a run through the park, or maybe we could just chase some squirrels together?  In other words, I can be an active, on the ready, go go go dog that tussles with the best of toys, to a sweet, loving, ball of fur that can protect the couch like no other!  Do you see my handsome brindle markings?  And the beautiful amber eyes I have?
     It's summer now and it is a great time to adopt me!  Summer time is a great time to bring a shelter pet home because warmer weather makes potty training easier and it also gives me more opportunities to exercise and burn off energy.  Did I mention I love food?  I mean, I really, really love food.  This will make training a snap!  I need to mention though that I have shown some signs of food aggression at the shelter so caution will need to be taken if you are going to mess with my food!  Don't worry, this is an issue that can be addressed and corrected with the proper training.
     I do ok with other dogs as I might want a buddy to play around with but a meet and greet would be recommended to ensure that we are compatible. I tested OK with cats but I will need some training to know to leave them alone.
     Ready to adopt me?  Here is what you need to know.  My adoption fee is $125.00 and I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations so basically I am turnkey!  You can fill out an application online.  Once approved, you can get with my people and they will schedule a day for you to come and play with me.  Please hurry, my next adventure awaits me.
