Cat Spay/Neuter Day at BCAS

BCAS is hosting an onsite cat spay/neuter clinic at BCAS on April 26th, 2024 for Blackford County residents. This is a great opportunity to have your cat altered. All procedures are same day drop off and pick up. See below for more details and to get your cat(s) signed up. Space is limited!

Prices and Forms:

Reduced costs are available for limited income applicants. Must show proof of qualification. Rabies vaccination is required. If you can not show proof that your pet is current for rabies then you will be charged for a rabies vaccine at the time of service. Space is limited and forms must be filled out and submitted by April 19th with PAYMENT. This is for Blackford County residents only at this time.

Information about our clinic:

Drop off cats at 8:00AM and pick up at 4:00PM at BCAS on April 26th. Payment for additional services will be due at pick up. Refer to the After Surgery Instructions you printed with your forms.
BCAS must have the following information 3 days prior to surgery date. Proof of Rabies Certificate, Age of pet, sex of pet, color and hair length such as short hair, medium hair or long hair. This information can be emailed to bcasadopt@gmail.com.
Don't have proof of rabies? If proof of rabies is not provided a rabies vaccine will be administered at the time of service for an additional fee. See price list above for additional fees.

Pets with fleas will be given a Capstar.
Any pet that has fleas at the time of service will be given a Capstar for an additional fee.
Carriers can be borrowed from the shelter before and after the surgery. Don't have a carrier to transport your cat(s)? We got you covered. Please email us at bcasadopt@gmail.com to get a carrier prior to the surgery.
Pets are not to be given food after 8PM the night before the surgery. Water can be provided but absolutely no food after 8PM on the night prior to surgery.
