WAGES

Current wage is $8.00 per hour. Our shelter depends mostly on donations so wages are based on what the shelter can afford.

FULL OR PART TIME

Day shift is 8AM-1PM and evening shift is 4PM-7PM. Our shelter requires staff 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Help pets get adopted!

Occasionally our shelter attends local social events, adoption events, fundraisers and hosts open houses. Sending shelter pets home with a loving family is very rewarding!

BCAS is a Low/No Kill Facility

We have worked hard to earn this title. Our pets do not have numbers on their heads deciding when their time is up. Come join our team without worry of euthanizing pets.

Provide care to the homeless pets of Blackford County

We need animal friendly people to do the daily duties it takes to provide care for our shelter pets while they wait for their adoptive families.

Above hours are for donation drop offs, pet reclaims or other services.

Adoptions are by appointment only and require an approved application.
